May 6th, 2008

img_0590.jpg Erika gave me a suggestion for our blog topic today.  Since it is Teacher Appreciation Week, she wants everyone to think about how much you should appreciate ALL teachers because they work so hard to teach us how to be a good person, a good learner, and a good citizen.  Please write a top 10 list about what makes a good teacher.  Thanks for the idea, Erika.  Have fun with this post. :)

Happy Children’s Day!

April 30th, 2008

mlk10.gifIt was brought to my attention that today is Kids Day, so Happy Children’s Day!  In Mexico, it is celebrated on April 30th, but other countries celebrate it around June 1st.  Hector told me that some of the traditions include parents giving gifts to their children to show their appreciation.  Do you celebrate this holiday?  If so, what are some traditions that happen during this special day?  If not, what types of traditions would you like to see happen on Children’s Day?
